College Registrar’s message

OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR

It is with great humility to welcome you to Ebukanga Technical and Vocational College. The College is one of the fastest growing institutions in Western region. As an institution our goal is to train and equip trainees with knowledge, skills and attitudes to fit in the current job market and

help the Government realize its development goals.

The office of the registrar is one of the most essential administrative units at Ebukanga Technical and Vocational College carrying out various activities, duties and responsibilities. The office is in charge of marketing, admissions, examination, maintaining trainee records, research and innovation.

We admit trainees countrywide in both technical and business programmes in three levels as follows:

 Artisan-KCSE Mean Grade D-(Minus) and Below

 Craft Certificate-KCSE Mean Grade D (Plain) and D+(Plus)

 Diploma- KCSE Mean Grade C-(Minus) and Above.

Our courses are examined by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), Technical and

Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC). The college is also rolling out more programmes to stay at par with the prevailing market demands.

The office of the registrar works with the Heads of Departments (HODs) in various academic departments within the college to determine the educational course requirements for admission

and graduation within each programme. The registrar develops procedures to be used in the registration process, and ensures that those procedures are followed successfully.

When a trainee has completed the course work, and requests to be allowed to graduate and receive his or her diploma/craft/artisan certificate, it is the responsibility of the college registrar to check the trainees records and ensure that he or she has completed all of the requirements.

This includes course requirements, college requirements, grades achieved, and monetary responsibilities.

The office works in collaboration with the Research and Innovation Coordinator to ensure there is research, Innovation and participation in Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.

The department through the examination office is also responsible for issuing transcripts and verifying matriculation after a trainee leaves the college.

In addition, the registrar’s office provides statistical data regarding trainee entry, enrolment and matriculation to the government and other educational boards like the KUCCPS, HELB etc.

I wish you all the best as you purpose to join us.
