My role as the Head of Department is to ensure curriculum implementation in the department, Trainee management, Managing and Mobilization of resources and Coordination of any other activity that affects the department among others.

Career Progression

Graduates with craft certificate in IT can proceed to Diploma in IT, and then enroll Degree courses in Bsc IT, Bsc Computer Science, BBIT and professional certification such as Cisco, MCSE among others. They can also join the corporate world as IT specialists.

History of the department

The department was started in September 2019 with one PSC Trainer, in February 2020 the department enrolled a first batch twenty (20) of trainees to study Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and Craft certificate in Information Technology (CICT) respectively. The same year the department received another PSC trainer. The department has two PSC trainer and also outsources from other departments

Message from HOD

ICT as an emerging technology has a forest of knowledge, it has transformed the society today thus it has reduced the world into a global village hence its embedded in the running of day-to-day operations just from simple document processing to complex artificial intelligence platform. The department apart from teaching and learning as a core function, it also provides the end user support services to other departments. The department is in the process of spearheading the e-learning implementation aka ODeL, to continuously engage trainees remotely in the event such as Covid-19 pandemic outbreak……….Mr.Agwenyi Christopher
